Hypocrisy: Piers puts pic with violence-glorifying Snoop on Twitter profile

When Snoop Dogg isn’t tweeting lists of reasons he wouldn’t vote for Romney (including ‘bitch got a dancing horse) or ideas about teaching his child’s peewee football team how to smoke weed, he is hanging with his new buddy Piers Morgan. As Twitchy reported, the BFFs chatted it up on “Piers Morgan Tonight” on Thursday. Best buds! The rapper is turning reggae artist and has a new track titled “No Guns Allowed.

My buddy @snoopdogg > RT @jhalliday11 @piersmorgan best gangsta rapper of all time?

— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 23, 2013

Now, Piers has made a photo of him and the rapper a centerpiece on his Twitter profile.

Twitter users can’t help but note the rapper’s past and the blatant hypocrisy being exhibited by Piers “Musket” Morgan, the gun-grabbing ghoul.

And don’t get me wrong. I love Snoop. Anyone who has seen me at karaoke knows this. But I’m not carving a niche around banning guns, am I?

— Ben Howe (@BenHowe) March 23, 2013

cc: @benshapiro RT @benhowe: You know he spent a LOT of time rapping about shooting ppl, right? MT @piersmorgan: My buddy @snoopdogg

— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) March 23, 2013

I wonder if @piersmorgan asked Snoop if he was going to give up his guns, because we all know that ain’t gonna happen!

— Lauren Coker (@MamaLC3) March 23, 2013

.@piersmorgan you rage against guns, but yet you have Snoop Dog in your profile. #gangsta #tcot #Hypocrite

— The Morning Spew (@TheMorningSpew) March 20, 2013

Love @piersmorgan and his Twitter profile picture with Snoop Dogg. Snoop neverrapped about guns or violence so Piers is okay with it…

— The Sports Dude™(@ImTheSportsDude) March 23, 2013

Your “buddy” Snoop Dogg has made millions from music that glorifies shooting people. Have you no shame? @piersmorgan

— Jerome Hudson(@JeromeEHudson) March 24, 2013

Hey @piersmorgan, this is your buddy Snoop Dogg: “shoot the curb and together we’ll shoot ‘em up. Together we’ll shoot ‘em up (Bang bang).

— Jerome Hudson(@JeromeEHudson) March 23, 2013

Also, from your “buddy” Snoop Dogg, “Geah, an’ motherfuckers wanna know who shot Cyrus?Nigga I shot Cyrus!” Poor Cyrus. @piersmorgan

— Jerome Hudson(@JeromeEHudson) March 24, 2013

Michael Moore is going to be devastated when he hears about your new friendship with snoop “I shot Cyrus” Dogg. @piersmorgan

— Jerome Hudson(@JeromeEHudson) March 24, 2013

Are you a hypocrite who pals around with gangsta rappers, desperate for ratings, or both? @piersmorgan

— Jerome Hudson(@JeromeEHudson) March 24, 2013

Just tell us which side of your mouth we’re supposed to be listening to, okay? Thanks. @piersmorgan

— Jerome Hudson(@JeromeEHudson) March 24, 2013

I’m not sure if the Sandy Hook families will approve of your “buddy” relationship with a rapper who glorifies shooting people. @piersmorgan

— Jerome Hudson(@JeromeEHudson) March 24, 2013

That’s alright. He clearly doesn’t  care about them. He only cares about using them and dancing on the backs of the dead to further an agenda.

And his own floundering career.

Twitter rumor mill: Has Assad “abandoned” Syria?; Updated

http://twitter.com/#!/CardBertone/status/178745126984761344

https://twitter.com/#!/CardBertone/status/178746033394827264

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone is the Vatican’s number two official.

Not many newspeople are up tonight, but an Italian Twitter user has already tipped the Wall Street Journal:

@WSJ President Assad left Syria tonight, according to Vatican source. Is it true?

— Roberto Savarese (@rsavarese2006) March 11, 2012

A French independent journalist is also awake and asking questions:

Le Vatican, via le cardinal Bertone @CardBertone annonce que #Assad aurait quitté la #Syrie. Quelqu'un d'autre peut confirmer ?

— Liliane Langellier (@LaLangelliere) March 11, 2012

For what it’s worth, this piece says “Assad is firmly in charge of Syria,” according to “U.S. intelligence:”

One year after the unrest in Syria started President Bashar Assad is still firmly in control of his country, US intelligence services say, despite their leaders claiming his regime is doomed.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, three US senior intelligence officials have said Assad holds a strong position in Syria and his inner circle is also very determined to back the cause and remain “steadfast,” AP reports.

The U.N.’s Kofi Annan had been scheduled to hold a second meeting with Assad after being rebuffed earlier Saturday:

A U.N. official in Syria says envoy Kofi Annan will hold a second meeting with the country’s President Bashar Assad to discuss proposals for stopping violence and starting a political dialogue.

In his talks with Assad on Saturday, Annan made several proposals but was rebuffed by the president who rejected any immediate negotiations with the opposition.

The official said Annan is scheduled to meet again with Assad Sunday before heading to the Gulf state of Qatar. He spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.

Activists said fresh violence erupted again in Syria’s northern Idlib province.

UPDATE: The Bertone Twitter account is apparently fake:

Le Twitter account du Cardinal Bertone @CardBertone est un FAKE. Je l'ai signalé aux autorités compétentes et aux medias catholiques.

— Liliane Langellier (@LaLangelliere) March 11, 2012

Someone’s got a lot of time of his/her hands to be faking the Vatican Secretary of State’s Twitter identity…
