Delusional hubris: Obama claims to know more about Judaism than any other president ever

No, for reals. He actually said that. President Obama actually said that he knows more about Judaism than any other President, because he read about it. Also, some of his best friends are Jewish. And he said this with what we have to assume was a straight face!

This is NOT a parody: 'Obama…Stressed He Probably Knows About Judaism More than Any Other President —

— Dan Senor (@dansenor) May 30, 2012

More from The Weekly Standard.

In the meeting, Obama reportedly boasted about his knowledge of Judaism, telling the leaders that he thinks he knows more “about Judaism” than all past presidents. He said he gained this knowledge of Judaism from reading.

Obama … stressed he probably knows about Judaism more than any other president, because he read about it,” Haaretz reports. “[He] wondered how come no one asks Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner or Senate minority leader Mitch McConnel [sic] about their support to Israel.”

Similarly, he said to the group, “I [am] not going to tell you again how I even feel about Israel, but why [are] we still talking about it?”

He then suggested that he should not be questioned about his commitment to the Jewish state because “all his friends in Chicago were Jewish – and at the beginning of his political career he was accused of  being a puppet of the Israel lobby,” Haaretz reports.

Sheesh, people, why the suspicion? He used the old “some of my best friends” trope and everything! And he read a book. Not his own book…not even his own wife has read that…but he has read some books. Case. Closed.

So, he doesn’t know anything about the atrocities committed against the Jewish in death camps, but he totally knows Judaism the bestest of the best. Because, books. Silly rubes just probably don’t understand the “nuance” of reading. We also wonder which books he has read. Perhaps the books he has read are like the pastor to whom he listens? Or maybe they were the same kind of books he read to learn to speak “Austrian?”

Obama wonders why nobody asks other politicians about support of Israel?? Probably because it's the President that handles foreign policy

— Kevin Ecker (@kevinecker) May 30, 2012

No, no. It’s bigotry, natch. See, it was further reported that President Obama went on to say that people thinking that he isn’t a friend of Israel is just all a result of Republican “bigotry.” Now seeing and reacting to the Obama administration’s atrocious record as pertains to Israel is bigotry. It seems truth is now a “dog whistle” code word.

Once again, Twitter users weigh in to provide another Teachable Moment ™. The President has acted stupidly.

Obama knows Judaism better than rabbis, Catholicism better than the pope, and Nazi death camps better than the Poles.

Oy. RT @jeffemanuel: Obama claims to Jewish leaders that he "knows more "about Judaism" than all past presidents"

— Fred M (@fredontwittur) May 30, 2012

I guess it's Obama's great knowledge of Judaism that spurs him to argue Jerusalem's division is up for negotation.

— jimgeraghty (@jimgeraghty) May 30, 2012

@Doc_0 And "corpsemen" better than the Navy and U.S. geography better than anyone (57 states)

— Peter (@pdigaudio) May 30, 2012

If you have any questions about your religion, history, or national heroes, for a modest donation Barack Obama will invent answers.

— John Hayward (@Doc_0) May 30, 2012

Obama understands Judaism like I understand Chinese. He doesn't understand what it means to be Jewish or pro-Israel. Stop evolving for $.

— Gabriella Hoffman (@Gabby_Hoffman) May 30, 2012

If Obama knows more about Judaism than any other president and still acts this way re: Israel, he's talking to the wrong Jews.

— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) May 30, 2012

@Daroff @LiorWeintraub @JoshBlockDC @AmbassadorOren The problem with you guys is that none of you knows Judaism like Obama knows Judaism

— John Podhoretz (@jpodhoretz) May 30, 2012

Of course Barack Obama knows a lot about Judaism. He watched Topol in "Fiddler" high with the Choom Club.

What This Guy Came Home To Is My Worst Nightmare. Seriously, Get Me Out Of Here.

Redditor underdog106 had been noticing bees flying around his apartment for a few weeks before finding the cause. When looking through the attic he found a massive bee hive, a full on colony of the little honey producing guys. He then did what anyone would do in that situation, he called in a bee expert to come and remove the hive.

What happened next was an insane stroke of bad luck. Literally a few hours before the bee keeper was scheduled to arrive the hive dislodged and fell through the attic floor, crashing down into a bathroom below and leaving a whole lotta mess!

When ‘underdog’ came home he grabbed his camera and documented everything that was to happen next:

Came home to this! – The bee keeper was scheduled to come today at 5pm. It was a very warm day in Columbia, SC. The bee hive was heavy and the structure detached and fell through the ceiling. It turns out the old owners of the house used 1/4 inch sheet rock for the ceiling in the bathroom. Which is absurd and ridiculous. Jerry (the bee keeper) came as soon as he could, and he drove an entire hour to get here. The hive fell 3 hours before he was supposed to come today. What are the odds? Seriously. What are the odds!

Most of the hive fell. As you can see. But we were still able to save around 12,000 out of the estimated 30,000 bee hive.

Jerry arrived from Newberry as fast as he could! This guy is awesome.

The first “selfie” I have ever taken. And the last.

Lighting the smoker.

I got to suit up.

This is the box we were hoping to use.

Welcome to the bees. You should know, they fell through the ceiling three hours before the bee keepers arrival.

So much honey, so many bees.

First load of comb.

The floor is covered in honey.

What is left in the attic.

My kitchen knife was a great tool to cut it all out.

This picture just has bad-ass written all over it. He is also showing me a drone.

More of the attic.

Filling it right up.

That is a clean as it gets today!

Hopefully the rest here and the rest that come back from gathering pollen will swarm outside and not in.

The aftermath.

More Aftermath.

The bees are so full of sugar now they are docile.

View from the attic now.

View from the attic. Bees are still everywhere.

More Aftermath.

Eating the honey from the box that got on the ground.

The landlord is not afraid either. Tough lady.

Some of the honeycomb I saved. (A lot was crushed. Imagine a very heavy honey water balloon).

All I can say is good thing no one was sitting on that toilet when the hive came crashing through the ceiling.

Bono praises capitalism with boom-worthy quote; Ondrasik: Because, duh

U2’s Bono has found what he’s looking for … and it’s free enterprise!

The singer scored with those boom-worthy remarks. Sen. Rubio, John Stossel, author Brad Thor and other Twitter users rightly praised Bono:!/politicsofamy/status/367501596969537536

Truth. Bono has often praised President George W. Bush, and evangelicals, for their life-saving work in Africa.  Unlike the unhinged Left and lapdogs in the media who still refuse to acknowledge Bush’s long history of initiatives in Africa.

Five for Fighting’s John Ondrasik has a small bone to pick, however.

Ding, ding, ding! It is a little disheartening that praise for capitalism and understanding  that free enterprise is a great force for good is news. Because, duh. Seriously.

And some exit, non-related snark as only Twitter can bring it:

Heh. Perhaps he does. And is stimulating the economy by buying new pairs consistently. Achtung Baby? More like capitalism, baby!
